Jan Rýdl has received the Medal of Merit, First Class
A detailed citation states: “During the transformation of the economy in the 1990s he, as he himself says ‘took charge of TOS VARNSDORF machine tools manufacturing’. With his colleagues, he bought out the management of the more than one-hundred-year-old company, where he has worked since 1978, and steered it out of a crisis situation. Today, TOS VARNSDORF employs just under 500 people in the border town of Varnsdorf, and another 250 in branches in Rumburk and Olomouc. It has three manufacturing plants abroad and a sales network in tens of countries. In 2018, TOS had a turnover of 1.7 billion crowns. In 2018, he won the award Manager of the Quarter Century for his long-term contribution to Czech engineering.”
Receiving this high state award is a great recognition for Ing. Jan Rýdl and his long-term activity in Czech engineering. We congratulate Mr. Rýdl on the Medal for Merit, First Class.
